NC Department of Labor Gold Award
2nd Consecutive Year

On May 18, 2006 WB Moore Company of Charlotte, Inc. received the coveted NC DOL Gold Award.  Cherie Berry, North Carolina Department of Labor’s, Commissioner was on hand to present the award at an awards luncheon held at the Ramada Inn on Wood- lawn Road in Charlotte, NC. 

The award represents Companies that demonstrate exceptional safety criteria and enforcement.  The award is given annually to those North Carolina facilities that have maintained a lost-time injury rate of at least 50 percent below the state average for their respective industries.

“This honor is a true reflection of our people, stated Dave Clewley, PHR and WB Moore Company’s Safety Director.  We have exceptional innovative programs but are only of value when our people are safety conscious and enforce safety standards.” 

As a result of the disciplines demonstrated on our jobsites WB Moore’s EMR rate keeps going down, down, down.   According the NC Industrial Commission, WB Moore’s official rate is now at .79.
