What began as a small effort to collect aluminum can tabs for charitable organizations has ended up making a big impact in our office and for local organizations.
In the summer of 2013, WB Moore Charlotte office employees Jane Anglin, Debra Jordan and Amy Dixon delivered the first collection of tabs to the newly opened Ronald McDonald House in Charlotte. They dropped off nearly eight pounds of tabs—or about 8,000 tabs total. While there, they were treated to a tour of the beautiful facility, located on Morehead Street, near the Levine Children’s Hospital at Carolinas Medical Center.
The Ronald McDonald House organization has locations all over the world, providing a “home away from home” for families at little or no charge, allowing them to stay close to their hospitalized children. The can tabs will be recycled to raise funds to offer hope and support for families struggling with a child’s illness.
