In June 2012, the IJL Building (now Fifth Third Bank) in uptown Charlotte, NC experienced an explosion, causing a major fire and power outage of the entire building in the early morning hours.
WB Moore was contacted and our team rushed to assist with the major repairs needed to get temporary power on in the building so that all tenants could resume business. The goal was to return to business as usual within twelve hours of when the repairs began.
Through the diligence and expertise of WB Moore’s onsite employees, management and supporting staff, the repairs were made successfully and well within the timeline, allowing for little loss of production time for the tenants—remarkable considering the magnitude of the damage caused by the explosion.
A new 480V, 3000A busway was successfully installed by the WB Moore team in September 2012, and the building continues to be powered for business in this fast- paced city.
