WB Moore Company

WB Moore was selected as the Division 16 Electrical Contractor for engineering and design services at Marshall Steam Station. This detailed and complex project consisted of the following -

1. Unit #1 (Design/Engineering) - Modifications involved renaming burner elevations below A and relocating the E elevation by lowering it to a new windbox at 770" (LOFIR), adding sixteen (16) new SOFA damper drives, two (2) CO monitors, relocating Mill Ignitors and Flame Scanners. The required drives and instrumentation will improve boiler-firing controls to lower NOx.

2. Unit #1&2 I/O Points (Design/Engineering) - Purpose of this project was to revise a selected number of I/O tags on the existing DPU drawings for Units 1 & 2 Plant Operational Process Control System. The tag numbers needed to match the data base list provided by Duke Power. Correct tag numbers enhanced the accuracy of documents to allow preparation for future loop drawings.
