WB Moore Opens Doors to Summer Interns
Every summer, in ongoing support to upcoming engineering and contracting talent, WB Moore invites students from all over the country to participate in our summer intern program. Here is what some of them had to say about their experience:
“I just finished my freshman year as an Engineering Major at NC State University when I began my internship in the Engineering Department at WB Moore. During the course of this internship, I was able to get a small taste of everything involved in working in the Engineering Department. I was instrumental in the development of new panel directory templates for engineering design utilizing basic programming code for improved data entry and load demand calculations ... as well as assisting in updating electronic drawings in Records using AutoCAD MEP.”
Greg Hurley,
North Carolina State University
“There are not too many second year college students who are able to get valuable work experience like what WB Moore has provided me with. This summer really opened my eyes to the electrical side of construction, the business behind construction and many daily problems that occur in the business. I was very fortunate to be able to work for WB Moore and would like to thank Mr. Stevens and Mr. Graves for allowing me to come on board.”
John Svancarek,
University of Tennessee
“Before this summer, I knew I wanted to complete my degree at NC State, but I had no idea what I wanted to do afterward. WB Moore has not only given me the knowledge to choose the right path, but also the self-confidence to aggressively pursue my dreams.”
Eddie Youngs,
North Carolina State University
“This was my second summer working at WB Moore and it is one of those rare things that was possibly even better the second time around. This summer I had the opportunity to work on the continuation of a project ... on the development of inventory module. The purpose of the inventory module is for making the ordering and tracking of purchased material a smooth and easy process. I would like to thank the WB Moore team for this opportunity. This is another summer that I will not soon forget.”
