Project Highlight: Frankie’s Fun Park

Frankie’s Fun Park is the largest family entertainment facility that has ever been built & boasts the area’s largest arcade. The park sits on 20 acres at 10621 Bryton Corporate Center Drive, off Eastfield Road near interstate 485, and has 84,000 square feet of indoor entertainment space that includes 24 bowling lanes, a three-story playground, & LED illuminated bumper cars. Frankies has 213 new employees to date & plans on hiring an additional 100-150 before peak season hits next spring. Frankie’s features 18 hole mini-golf courses, three go-cart racing tracks, indoor laser tag, & four outdoor rides. It also has a full-service restaurant & bar. Th Godley Group is behind the venture, they are a firm based out of Charleston SC, that purchased the site for $2.4 million in 2016. W.B Moore of Charlotte was tasked with the responsibility of installing over 1200 different light fixtures, a 4000-amp electrical service, & over 60 additional branch panels. The coordination of over 50+ electricians to meet a very tight construction schedule provided by the general contractor Balfour Beatty Construction. WB Moore also managed Infinity Contractors for all the underground & light pole construction. Siemens Fire Alarm for all main buildings, maintenance & ticket booth fire alarm installation. Project completion date came just after the new year of 2019.
