Arc Flash Analysis

At WB Moore, we take Arc Flash Analysis to a new level, with new assurance that you're operation, equipment and people are safe.

The best arc flash is the one that is avoided altogether. However, it is a possibility in any building of any size. Arc flash can destroy a piece of equipment, disable an entire electrical system, be the cause of a fire or, worst of all, injury or death. A proper arc flash analysis determines the safety of your entire electrical system, including the danger level within each piece of equipment—in short, how much energy it could produce if something went wrong. The more equipment you have, the greater your chance of failure and the accompanying hazards.

As the dangers of arc flash have become more widely known, regulations to protect employees have increased. Facilities of all size perform arc flash analysis, estimating the risk of occurrence based on NFPA 70E.

At WB Moore, our analytical process involves opening every piece of equipment, measuring every conductor's length and providing a detailed report, including a list of NEC code violations we find when performing field research. All data is verified, double-checked and entered into SKM software.  Our goal is to reduce the large number of assumptions or estimates that could be wrong by ensuring that the data entered is as accurate as possible.

When we are finished, no "I" is left undotted, and no "T" uncrossed. WB Moore clients know this and they rest easier knowing.

*All engineering work is performed in our Charlotte office. WBM Group, PLLC provides all standalone engineering services.
