Data connectivity does stop at the computer, but where does it start?
Data connectivity does stop at the computer, but where does it start? It starts in the TR rooms, MDFs and Data Centers all over the world. In these environments nothing is more important than white space, so when it coming to cable management a company must bring their “A” game. Properly dressed patch cabling in the eyes of an IT professional is an absolution. Cleanly comped wire and uniformly placed velcro may seem trivial but when a customer is paying thousands of dollars to have a network show place its highly important. In TR’s and IT closets it gives a clear appearance that the installer not only takes pride in his work but is educated in the installation of the product that is being used. In MDF’s and Data Centers it stops the needless uses of much needed space that is either being leased and or in high demand. And in Data Centers it can also help with air flow, we have been involved in countless projects where we’ve been task to clean up either under floor or overhead cabling that had created air dams causing over heating valuable hardware.
