Project Highlight: Kannapolis Ballpark

Let’s Play Ball! With the groundbreaking construction of the Downtown Kannapolis Ballpark and home of the “Kannapolis Cannonballers”. The WB Moore Company of Charlotte considered it a privilege to be a part of the new $52-million ground-up project that is located in beautiful Downtown Kannapolis.

The Ballpark features 4,930-seat capacity seating, family picnic areas, loge boxes, and elevated Sky Lounge. The ballpark also features a 20,000 square foot children’s area which was built around a three-story Berliner play structure and interactive splash pad. Coupled with eight suites, and a 6,000 square foot banquet space, the Kinetic Club, which is used on game days for hospitality and event rental space year-round.

The Ballpark includes the restaurant at the Kinetic Club as well as walk-up concessions and souvenir stands. The professional, trained staff here at WB Moore was assigned to running underground wire for the PA System, Security System, Fire-Alarm, Splash Pad, as well as running power to the Concourse to supply Stadium Lighting. They also ran power supplies to provide state of the art lighting such as Recess Lighting, Pendent Lighting, Linear Light Bars, and Site Lighting for the walkways and tunnels. They provided additional power systems to feed power for all floor boxes, and all general use receptacles throughout the stadium. During this project, our staff was able to work closely with Engineers and Contractors to meet the needs of design changes.
