Mission Critical Data Center

MISSION CRITICAL

This project is a 21,000 square foot data center, also referred to as a “Tactical” Data Center, that stores clusters of servers in addition to the world’s largest private fuel-cell installation and solar farm. The building was originally permitted for 22 air conditioners, five fans, 14 humidifiers, six electrical unit heaters, one electric duct heat ventilation louvers, and ductwork. The facility requires massive amounts of electricity to power and cool its racks of servers and storage arrays.

Technical details remain undisclosed, however, the scope for WB Moore was to provide a complete and fully electrical system. Electrical scope of work included but it is not limited to generator control, switch gear, switchboards, transformers, busduct, generators and auxiliary equipment, underground conduits, feeders, grounding system, lighting protection, lighting and branch circuits, fire alarm system, lighting controls, DC power, security system, and miscellaneous electrical support systems.

WB Moore also provided:
Neher-McGrath calculations for underground cable temperatures and ampacity ratings.

Provided all Temporary power and lighting with ground fault protection throughout the duration of the job, meeting OSHA standards, and responsible for all connections and tie-ins of mechanical systems to equipment supplied by others.

Provided all Rough in for Life Safety Systems, Data Cabling Systems, Security, Telecommunications a Low Voltage Wiring.
