The library renovations included an addition of nearly 2,000 square feet for a total of 24,860 square feet and redesigned spaces for children and teens. The new space includes a teen loft, a makerspace room, an expanded community room, group study rooms, collaborative spaces, a vending cafe, as well as a patio and terrace. This renovation included new modern decorative lighting that enhanced the scheme of each individual room design.

In addition to the scope of work for WB Moore, was the demolition of existing bollard fixtures, existing electrical wiring, and equipment.

For the renovation work, WB Moore provided a new addressable Fire Alarm system with new devices and wiring per plans; Site Utilities, Service, & Distribution, which included a new precast pad per Duke Energy transformer pad specifications, two (2) 6” primary conduit stub-outs approx. 35 ft, Includes secondary duct bank to MDP per E003, Detail 8, feeders, new distribution panel boards and transformers, power and Fire Alarm for PIV and two (2) BFP boxes per E010, and Crosswalk lighting and control panel per E010 sheet note; Branch Wiring; HVAC, Mechanical and Equipment per plans, including disconnects; Voice/Data, Security and A/V Rough-ins. Our Team also provided all temporary lighting and construction power for areas under construction.
