Frankie's Fun Park
WB Moore proudly participated in construction of Frankies Fun Park a Disney like facility located
in Huntersville, NC. From day one on this project the WB Moore team installed lighting fixtures
that challenged us from the interior and exterior. Thanks to the General Contractor, Balfour
Beatty, our suppliers and vendors we were able to work through these challenges and successfully
complete this project and come out on the end having more knowlede and understanding of what it
takes to complete a state-of-the-art amusement park.

From day one
on this project, the WB Moore team installed lighting fixtures that challenged us from the
interior and exterior. Thanks to the General Contractor, Balfour Beatty, our suppliers and
vendors we were able to work through these challenges and successfully complete this project
and come out on the end having more knowlede and understanding of what it takes to complete a
state-of-the-art amusement park.
The
Convenience Power systems we installed included ½” EMT minimum pipe size
with setscrew fittings and copper wire and MC cable, where allowed by code for all branch
circuits. The circuits our team installed supply power for all floor boxes in the arcade,
general use receptacles, cooking equipment and the unique Brunswick bowling
lanes.
We purchased
and installed over 20 distribution boards ranging from 800 amps down to 150 amps. Along with
several 480V to 120/208V transformers. Our estimating team based all feeders on using
PVC or EMT with aluminum conductors.
The incoming
service is based on 2500 amp, 480/277V, 3-phase main service, from a Duke Power utility
transformer using #500 MCM aluminum conductors.
The Fire
Alarm System was installed by Siemens fire alarm systems and included a fully functioning
fire alarm system to meet the requirements of the local firecodes. This installation
includeded a complete raceway system for the fire alarm wiring utilizing ¾” EMT
conduit. Siemens scope included required programming, start-up, testing and training of
Frankie’s employees for the fire alarm system.
Telecom
System consists of 3/4” EMT Stubs to the ceiling space and single gang back box
only. Cabling was completed by others.
In addition
to the Telecome System we installed 3/4” EMT Stubs to the ceiling space and single gang
back box only for the Data System.
All site
sound, data and security conduit is conduit only with pull strings and is Stub ups only, any
boxes or cabinets were to be installed by others.
Access
Control was installeed for the Tea-Cup, Midi-Swing, Midi-Discovery and Disk’o
Rides.
WB Moore
installed all temporary lighting and power throughout the entire 20 acre site per OSHA
regulations.
