Renewable Energy

Having one or more energy sources that perpetually renews itself is both smart and respectful of the environment.

Sun, wind, and even the geothermal warmth of the earth can help you offset rising energy costs. Having one or more energy sources that perpetually renews itself is both smart and respectful of the environment.

WB Moore can create a renewable energy program to meet a portion of your current and future needs, and perhaps provide you an additional revenue stream.

We routinely design and build 5 Megawatt power-generating solar plants. In 2013, WB Moore designed and developed four solar plants in Wayne and Duplin counties in North Carolina. Each plant has its own unique footprint. The plants include more than 75,000 solar individual panels connected by more than 2,500,000 feet of wire, and combine to supply the residents of the area with more than 20 Megawatts of power-generating capacity.

But renewable energy is not just something we promote. It’s something we employ ourselves. When we completed the renovation to our company headquarters in 2010, it was the first new construction Platinum LEED-Certified facility in North Carolina, complete with 134 solar panels capable of generating 35,500 Kilowatt-hours of electric energy annually, making it the largest corporate-owned roof-mounted PV system in the state at that time. 100 percent of all power generated is eligible for sale directly to the local utility and subsidized through N.C. Green Power.

Let us show you how the addition of a renewable energy plan can position you better for today, and into the future.
